A horrific road accident occurred late at night in Muranjan, Rangia. A scooty rider died on the spot, while four others were seriously injured. Reports indicate that the collision involved a truck, a scooty, and a Swift car. The accident was reportedly caused by the fault of the scooty rider; while attempting to overtake, the scooty came under the truck. In an effort to save the scooty rider, the truck moved backward and collided with the Swift car.
The family involved was traveling from Nalbari towards Guwahati after attending Bihu celebrations when the mishap occurred. The Rangia Police team arrived at the scene and, with the help of locals, admitted the injured individuals to the hospital. It has been learned that the identities of the injured have not yet been established. The deceased has been identified as the scooty rider, and the registration number of the involved truck is AS 01DD6371.
