A terrifying road accident occurred at Bhurbandha in Kaliabor . A high-speed vehicle struck a cyclist, resulting in the rider’s death on the spot. The incident took place around 10:30 AM on the road connecting Silghat and Laokhowa, shortly after crossing Thori Sarai. The victim, identified as Ajay Brahman, was returning home from Jhulunga ,when a speeding four-wheeler (Vehicle No: AS 02 CC 0491) hit him.According to local residents, the accident happened due to the absence of speed breakers on the Borguli-Laokhowa road. In protest, locals have launched a demonstration on the road. Meanwhile, Silghat police arrived at the scene to bring the situation under control. Villagers claim that approximately eight accidents have occurred on this stretch to dead, claiming nearly seven lives. They stated that despite repeated appeals to the government, no action has been taken. The locals people’s have decided that their protest will continue unless speed breakers are installed within one hour.
