Protesting against the illegal liquor trade in Dalgaon, more than a hundred village women took to the streets. A formal complaint has been lodged with Dalgaon government officials and the police to seek relief. According to the residents of Dalgaon, the accused have been running this liquor business for the past seven years. They operate the trade day and night. As soon as evening falls, the street becomes crowded with drunks, causing significant hardships for the locals. It has become extremely difficult to pass through that street after sunset. Consequently, the women there have decided to shut down such businesses. Customers ranging from young children to the elderly come there to drink, and the place remains crowded with buyers day and night.
Taposh Das, Gopi Das, and their mother are reportedly running this liquor business together. The residents of Dalgaon have collectively decided to file an FIR with the DC (Deputy Commissioner). They will abide by whatever decision is taken; however, if a proper decision is not reached, the people of the state will find their own solution.
