Two horrific road accidents occurred in Biswanath. In one accident near the Biswanath Head Police Station, the body of a young man was recovered.Meanwhile, another accident took place on B.G. Road in the northern part of Biswanath. Reportedly, a reckless motorcyclist hit an elderly man, leaving him seriously injured. According to the report, the injured elderly person has been identified as Shatrughan Sahani. Eyewitnesses claimed the accident happened because the motorcyclist was smoking or under the influence of some intoxicant.Due to not wearing a helmet, both the motorcyclist and the elderly man sustained severe head injuries. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. Biswanath Police arrived at the spot and admitted the injured to the Biswanath Civil Hospital; however, due to their critical condition, they were referred to Tezpur Medical College for advanced treatment.
