A massive fire broke out in Barhampur, Nagaon, in which approximately six shops were completely reduced to ashes. The incident destroyed shops including a mobile store, vegetable shop, fish stall, and betel leaf (paan) shop, among others. Upon receiving the information, fire department vehicles reached the spot and brought the blaze under control. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported in this incident. According to preliminary reports, property worth over ₹12 lakh has been damaged in this fire. Local police and fire personnel were present at the scene to bring the situation under control.
