During an operation in Gossaigaon, police seized 8 cows involved in a smuggling case orchestrated by an individual named Monturam Borah.The Bolero Pickup vehicle, bearing registration number AS15AC7359, was reportedly travelling from West Bengal toward Barpeta. According to the report Monturam Borah abandoned the vehicle near a hotel on the national highway and fled. Police officials stated they had received a tip-off, following which they set up a naka checkpoint starting at 4:00 AM. Upon spotting the police, Borah parked the vehicle near the Habic Hotel and escaped. During the subsequent report, police recovered 8 cows from the vehicle, though the suspect managed to flee before he could be apprehended.
