A massive quantity of ganja was seized in Mahanagari Borgaon. Police from Guwahati and Garchuk apprehended the criminals and confiscated the ganja along with tablets. The drug trafficker was arrested following the recovery of ganja valued at approximately ₹3 crore. The vehicle involved bore the registration number AS 01TC4793.The arrested individual has been identified as Riyazul Ali, a resident of Kamalpur. According to the police, the contraband was purchased in the Sibsagar district and was being transported through Guwahati. Officials stated that this operation is part of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s vision to make the state drug-free. The seizure occurred during a police raid when the Tata Magic vehicle, arriving from Sibsagar, was found carrying various types of narcotics. Law enforcement agencies have confirmed that they will continue their intensified crackdown to apprehend more such criminals.
