A dangerous incident occurred in Moirabari, Morigaon district. Some individuals pelted stones at a vehicle carrying young students who were on an educational tour. According to the teachers of Massapoli Primary School, they had taken approximately 60-70 students to Botoruathan for the excursion. While returning from there, under the cover of darkness at night, some miscreants started throwing stones. Due to this stone-pelting, some children sustained head injuries. Upon further inquiry, the teachers stated that the perpetrators were Muslim youths and alleged that the attack was religiously motivated.
