A daylight robbery took place in Barpeta town. Five individuals looted gold and diamond jewelry. Inside the shop, the robbers carried out the heist by holding guns to the customers’ heads to intimidate them. The robbers also destroyed the CCTV cameras during the loot. Meanwhile, the Barpeta Police arrived at the scene and launched a rigorous investigation. According to local witnesses, the robbers held guns to their heads, demanding their phones and threatening to shoot if anyone made a noise. There were five robbers in total. They took all the items from the shop and remained inside for approximately half an hour.
