A horrific road accident occurred at Sollong in Kaliabor. In a head-on collision between a Pulsar motorcycle and a Tata DI vehicle, a person named Ziwahul Rahman died on the spot. His wife, Momtaz Begum, was seriously injured. Reportedly, they were travelling from Tezpur towards Morigaon. The registration numbers of the two vehicles involved in the accident were AS 21E 9792 and AS 12CC 4474. Upon receiving information, the Sollong police arrived at the scene; however, Ziwahul Rahman passed away while being transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, his wife Momtaz Begum has been admitted to Nagaon Hospital for advanced medical treatment.
