A member of the Bajrang Team was severely assaulted by his own district president in Abhaypur following an internal conflict. The victim, Prakash Arya, was targeted because he had alerted the authorities after intercepting an illegal vehicle involved in cattle smuggling.The Incident of a vehicle carrying approximately 8 cows was intercepted on Rajbari Path. The cattle were reportedly being transported to the Kundhaybari Market.The owner of the vehicle has been identified as Suman Ali.
The arrest a local youth stated that he and another individual worked together to catch the vehicle, as they have done many times before. Following the interception, they called for a police patrolling vehicle, which took the smugglers and the cattle to the police station.The Assault while the youth was on his way to file an FIR (First Information Report), the District President, Govinda Pal, arrived at the scene and began beating him. The victim claimed he did not even understand why the President was attacking him.Legal Action the victim, fearing for his life due to the severity of the assault, now intends to file an FIR against Govinda Pal and Amrit Brahman, both of whom allegedly participated in the beating.
