A police forest team was attacked in Banaskantha , injuring 47 people. On Saturday afternoon, 500 people attacked a forest department and police team in Padaliya village, Danta taluka, 14 kilometers from the Ambaji pilgrimage town. They pelted stones and targeted police vehicles with slingshots and arrows. The mob also set fire to police and forest department vehicles. The team had arrived in the village to plant trees. Villagers attacked the team during the attack, slashing the tires of the vehicles. To bring the situation under control, police fired more than 50 bullets and fired approximately 20 tear gas shells. There has been a long-standing dispute in Padaliya village regarding nine forest department students. The villagers fear they will be evicted from their land, and this is being cited as the primary reason for the attack. Banaskantha Collector Mihir Patel said the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. When a joint team of police and revenue officials went to Forest Department area number 9 in Nashri.

And was planting trees. 47 officers from the police, forest and revenue departments were injured in this incident. 36 officers injured in the incident have been admitted to Awadh Civil Hospital. While 11 were referred to Kanpur Civil Hospital. Police Inspector P.A.R.B. Gohil was referred to Manpur as his condition was serious. On receiving information about the incident, the forest guards from Banaskantha immediately reached Ambaji Civil Hospital and inquired about the well-being of the injured. And with that, the police started preparing for legal action against the attackers.
