A sensational robbery occurred at Lorimukh Bazaar in Rupohihat. A group of 15–20 robbers targeted a business establishment named Assam Glass Enterprise. The gang looted goods and cash worth approximately ₹3 crore. Upon receiving information, the Kawaimari police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. According to the shopkeepers, they realized a robbery was in progress during the night when local residents immediately alerted them and arrived at the spot. The In-Charge (IC) of Ambagan was also summoned. The establishment was a hardware store owned by an individual named Mubarak Hussain. The robbers were reportedly armed with pistols and other weapons. Despite the police station being located only about 2 kilometres away, the police arrived approximately half an hour after the robbery took place.
