Terrible accident on Republic Day. A road accident occurred in Moirabari on the day of Republic Day. The incident took place at Gird Pradhan village on the Gorakhpatni road in Moirabari. A bike collided with an elderly man. According to eyewitnesses, both parties were severely injured in the collision. The involved KTM bike bore the registration number AS 02AW 3736. The bike rider was also critically injured during the incident. The injured elderly man has been identified as 60-year-old Abdul Subhan. According to locals people, although he was initially admitted to Moirabari Hospital, he was later referred to Nagaon Hospital. Meanwhile, Moirabari police arrived at the scene and took the bike into custody. It is also reported that there are calls to restrict young men from reckless driving. As of now, the elderly man remains in critical condition.
