A tragic road accident occurred on National Highway 15 in Darrang, resulting in the death of a woman. The accident took place when a speeding motorcycle struck the woman while she was crossing from one side of the road to the other. The deceased has been identified as Kasira Begum, approximately 44 years old, a resident of Borodolguri. The perpetrator, the motorcyclist who caused the accident, fled the scene immediately after the collision. Although local residents rushed her to Mangaldai Hospital, the doctors declared her dead upon arrival. The police arrived at the scene, seized the motorcycle, and have initiated legal action against the individual involved.
