An NCB operation was conducted in Tetelitola, Golaghat, resulting in the seizure of drugs worth crores of rupees. The narcotics, smuggled from Manipur, were recovered from an 80-year-old man. The substances were found hidden inside a vehicle (WB registration) arriving from Manipur. The individual has been identified as Naren Dutta, who was arrested by the police .According to local residents, “This is a deeply shameful incident,If elderly people engage in such acts, what will become of the younger generation and the youth?” Furthermore, the public has appealed to the authorities to take the strictest possible action against the accused.
