Elephants wreaked havoc in Morigaon Beltola village, destroying several homes during the attack. The attack occurred at 7:00 pm. An elderly woman reported that a member of her family was attacked by elephants, who had broken a leg. His condition was critical and he was unable to be taken to the hospital. She said he was alive for a short while at home but died shortly after being brought to the hospital. Another elderly resident of the village reported that they were at home when an elephant suddenly emerged from the forest and attacked them while they were eating dinner. According to her, the elephants ran after them. They are from Beltola, 12th Street. Two people died and were admitted to Morigaon Hospital. Meanwhile, the wild elephants moved north towards Beltola. Forest residents were informed.
