In a shameful incident for humanity, a new born baby was found abandoned near the No. 4 Cry Devial area in Rangajan, Golaghat. The lifeless body of the newborn, which had been discarded by the roadside, was recovered. The infant had been stuffed into a bag and thrown away.According to reports, local residents alerted the Golaghat Police after the discovery. A local woman was the first to spot the bag while returning from her brother’s house; as she used her phone’s flashlight and moved the bag, the infant fell out.The woman stated that those responsible for this heinous act must face strict punishment. She added that if the police fail to find the culprits, the community will track them down and expel them from the village. The baby was found inside a bag, and locals suspect, based on preliminary information, that the child was born at the Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat.
