In the afternoon, incidents occurred where wild elephants emerged from the forest and entered Sintholi village in Golaghat. The recent sighting of a herd of elephants highlights the ongoing human-wildlife conflict. This situation has caused panic and fear among local residents. To stay safe, people are advised to maintain distance from the elephants and inform the Forest Department. The elephants attacked during the daytime, specifically targeting an individual named Huren Sakia. The wild elephants were seen roaming through several villages. During the assault on Huren Sakia, the elephants broke his arm and caused injuries in several other places. Although Forest Department personnel were present, they were unsuccessful in driving the elephants away. Local residents are now urging the Forest Department to find a swift solution to this problem.
