PM Modi’s strong message to China; lands at Moran Bypass on Air Force’s ‘Bahubali’—witness India’s power.Assam witnessed a historic moment today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed on the Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) at the Moran Bypass in Dibrugarh aboard the Air Force’s ‘Bahubali’ C-130J aircraft. Here, he will witness an aerial display featuring fighter jets, transport aircraft, and helicopters. This is the first landing facility of its kind in Northeast India. Designed and constructed in coordination with the Indian Air Force, this facility is specifically built for the take-off and landing of military and civilian aircraft during emergencies. It will serve as a critical asset for emergency response, enabling the rapid deployment of rescue and relief operations during natural disasters or strategic requirements in the Northeast. Developed as dual-use infrastructure, this ELF is capable of handling fighter jets weighing up to 40 tonnes and transport aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 74 tonnes.
