Several pharmacies in front of the Moirabari hospital were shut down following a sudden raid by the Drug Inspector. During the inspection, pharmacies operating without valid licenses were closed. The District Drug Inspector, Ishwar Hazarika, arrived in Moirabari, Morigaon district, for the inspection. Upon his arrival, several pharmacy owners fled, leaving their shops unattended. During the subsequent investigation of surrounding pharmacies, it was discovered that many were operating without a license, leading to those shops being locked and sealed. Drug Inspector Ishwar Hazarika stated that owners whose shops were closed can reopen them after providing proper documentation and information. He also urged the public not to purchase medicines from any pharmacy without first verifying their license.
