Terror of drug-addicted thieves in Jamuguri; Public apprehends 4 notorious criminals.An assessment was conducted on the quantity of goods seized from the house of Merajani, a drug dealer and harborer of thieves. In the Moruguri area of Morigaon district, the menace of theft and drugs has been rampant. This morning, locals caught the drug accused and informed the police.For a long time, items such as betel nuts, stored paddy, motorcycles, and e-rickshaws were being stolen from Bodamara Ruiya and surrounding areas. Residents suspected three individuals were involved in these thefts, exchanging stolen goods for drugs. According to sources, Mushtaq Ali, Jatiya, and Ramzan Ali were the three individuals operating this theft racket in the region. It was also revealed that they would sell the stolen materials at low prices to a dumper owner named Merajani. This gang had been obtaining drugs from Merajani for an extended period. Stolen goods were discovered in a warehouse at Merajani’s residence. The local public immediately alerted the police. Upon searching the warehouse, the police recovered various stolen items. The police have taken the thieves into custody and will take strict action against them. The local community has appealed for the thieves to be severely punished and for the area to be made drug-free.
