Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the death of a Class 9 student in Golaghat. The victim, a student named Shlok Malik, was reportedly killed over a dispute involving ₹3,000 According to his sister, a message was found on his phone indicating that someone was demanding ₹3,000 from him. She was initially unaware of the identity of the youth involved. It is reported that the accused had borrowed the money from Shlok to purchase a scooter. When the purchase did not go through and Shlok asked for his money back, the suspects lured him to a house. The incident came to light when a local woman observed the group leaving the premises. She questioned them, saying, “Four of you went in, so why are only three coming out? Where is the other boy?” Upon hearing this, the suspects fled the scene. Following this, the police were informed, and the suspects were subsequently arrested.
