Three Naga individuals were apprehended with illegal weapons at Chungajan, located along the Assam-Nagaland border in Sarupathar. Based on specific intelligence, the CRPF conducted a search operation at the Rengmapani Naka point in the B-Sector of Chungajan. During the operation, they intercepted a black Scorpio vehicle (registration number NL-07-C-5444) traveling from Niuland, Nagaland, through Chungajan toward Dimapur.
The security forces seized one SSBL rifle, three air guns, two telescopes, and two used wireless sets from the vehicle. The apprehended individuals have been identified as Merin Jamir, Lichumo Patton, and Jolütemtsu Bimson. Subsequently, the CRPF handed over the three Naga individuals along with the confiscated weapons and materials to the Niuland Police for further investigation.
